Our client is a Repair and Maintenance Industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for Accountant to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the West - Tuas (Company Transport Provided)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Prepare, review, and ensure timely and accurate submission of financial statements, management reports, and statutory reports.
- Maintain proper accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Coordinate and prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with management.
- Track actual performance against budget and provide clear explanations for variances.
- Deliver financial analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements.
- Oversee banking activities, cash management processes, and financing arrangements.
- Ensure timely receivables collection and effective control of company expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax filings (GST, corporate tax) and financial reporting obligations.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and relevant authorities.
- Manage the annual audit process and promptly address audit queries and findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including at least 2-3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
