We're Hiring: Accountant - Finance & Operations

Our client is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented and tech-savvy Accountant who can take ownership of financial operations while bringing fresh ideas to improve processes and efficiency.

We are particularly interested in someone who is AI-proficient, curious about emerging technologies and eager to continuously learn and explore new AI tools to make accounting processes smarter, faster and more efficient.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Manage full-set accounts, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, payments and employee reimbursements.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and financial reports.

• Coordinate with HR on manpower-related invoices and payments.

• Prepare audit schedules and support statutory audits and corporate tax reporting.

Project Profitability & Financial Operations

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor project profitability and financial performance.

• Manage accounts receivable follow-ups and facilitate timely collections.

• Support group consolidation and intercompany reconciliations.

Commission Management

• Work closely with the Head of Finance and CEO to develop and maintain commission tracking processes.

• Coordinate commission calculations, communication and payments for internal and external partners.

Process Improvement & AI Adoption

• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting workflows.

• Leverage AI tools such as Claude and other emerging technologies to improve productivity, accuracy and efficiency.

• Actively explore new AI applications and continuously develop digital capabilities.

• Support budgeting, grant applications and other finance initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline ACCA/CA qualification is an advantage.

• 3-5 years of full-set accounting experience, ideally within a Singapore SME, start-up or regional business.

• Sound knowledge of SFRS, Singapore GST and corporate tax.

• Experience with multi-currency transactions (SGD/USD) and intercompany reconciliations.

• Proficiency in Xero or QuickBooks, along with advanced Excel skills.

• AI-savvy and enthusiastic about technology - ideally already using AI tools such as Claude or similar platforms, with a strong willingness to experiment, learn and apply new solutions.

• Familiarity with expense management and Employer of Record (EOR) platforms is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail, ownership and problem-solving skills.

• A collaborative, adaptable mindset with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
