Role description:
We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountants with extensive experience in financial accounting. The ideal candidates will be responsible for managing financial reporting, full-set accounting, and big data analysis, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset, with a focus on driving efficiency and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and maintain full-set accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, with a strong focus on compliance and internal controls.

- Handle client deposit and withdrawal transactions accurately and promptly. Perform daily bank account reconciliations to ensure all client fund movements are properly recorded, aligned with accounting records, and compliant with Australia ASIC regulatory requirements.

- Perform daily reconciliations of client equity balances across internal systems, trading platforms, and bank accounts, while investigating, analyzing, and resolving reconciliation breaks and discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.

- Prepare intercompany invoices in accordance with transfer pricing rules and the internal cost allocation policy, ensuring proper documentation, accuracy, and compliance in accounting treatment.

- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors to complete annual audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and financial reporting standards, and resolving any issues promptly.

- Collaborate with tax agents to ensure compliance with local tax regulations and timely filing of tax returns, including tax planning and effective management of tax risks.

- Conduct comprehensive financial performance analysis, including profit/loss, cost management, and variance analysis, while providing timely, insightful reports to support strategic decision-making.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and monitor annual budgets, ensuring consistency with financial objectives and business goals.

- Utilize advanced Excel functions, VBA, or other coding tools (e.g., Python, SQL) to handle large datasets, automate processes, and conduct data-driven analysis, supporting data accuracy and reporting efficiency.

- Proactively identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, errors, and process inefficiencies to ensure a smooth financial closing process and accurate financial statements.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/ACCA certification preferred.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting, with prior experience in the brokerage, FX, or CFD industry preferred.

- Proven experience in full-set accounting, and handling complex financial structures.

- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS), with experience liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.

- Proficiency in accounting software (such as SAP, XERO) and ERP systems, with hands-on experience in integrating and streamlining financial systems.

- Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with VBA, Python, SQL, or similar programming languages to analyze and manage large datasets efficiently.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to stakeholders.

- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently and in a team within a fast-paced, dynamic industry environment.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tigh inner deadlines.

-Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
