Accountant - Construction Public Listed

About the role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Account Executive / Accountant to join the dynamic team in construction located near Joo Koon. This full-time role is responsible for managing accurate financial reporting and accounting practices within the organization. Construction experience is a must with public-listing knowledge.

What you'll be doing

• Competent in Full Set & GL

• Competent in ERP system (Synergix Software preferred) or good understanding of ERP systems

• Knowledge in WIP/project accounting is essential

• Familiar in Construction/Engineering Sector and/or listed company will be preferred (Certified Public Accountant knowledge)

• Ensure proper month end closing

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports and updates and monitoring of cash flow

• Monthly recon of bank statements and financial accounts, include inter-company reconciliation

• Prepare and ensure mandatory compliance (eg GST submission, financial audits)

• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, secretariat, bank agents, etc and financial analysis

• Assist to streamline/improve efficiency of process, cashflow, etc

• Maintaining files and records

• Any other role related adhoc duties

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 5 years experience in a senior accounting or finance role, within the construction industry

• A recognized accounting qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA or CPA

• Exceptional financial management and reporting skills, with a strong attention to detail

• Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities

• Excited to take on challenges with the role

• Proficient in the use of accounting software and data analysis tools

• A strategic mindset and the ability to provide valuable financial insights to support business objectives
