Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Singapore finance team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial operations for Singapore entities, while supporting regional and global reporting requirements. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end accounting activities, regulatory reporting, financial analysis, and internal controls, and will actively contribute to process improvements and strategic financial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Management Reporting
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with SFRS and IFRS
• Lead monthly GL close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
• Perform variance analysis, cost tracking, and financial performance reporting for regional and global stakeholders
Regulatory & Compliance Reporting
• Ensure full compliance with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulatory requirements
• Prepare and support regulatory submissions, including MAS 610, statutory returns, and other compliance filings
• Assist in maintaining and enhancing internal controls and accounting policies to meet local and global regulatory standards
Audit, Tax & Internal Controls
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders for statutory audits and tax filings
• Maintain a strong internal control framework, including documentation, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support corporate income tax, GST returns, and transfer pricing documentation
Financial Analysis & Data Analytics
The ideal candidate will leverage Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or similar tools to:
• Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and key business insights
• Design and deliver clear, impactful, and interactive dashboards
• Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
• Partner with business and finance stakeholders to translate data needs into actionable insights
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• CPA / CA (Singapore) / ACCA or equivalent professional qualification (mandatory)
• 4–7 years of total experience, including at least 2 years with a Big 4 accounting firm
• Prior experience in brokerage, financial services, or capital markets is strongly preferred
• Strong experience with: Oracle Financials, Hyperion / Essbase, Power BI / Alteryx / Insight / Claude, Advanced MS Excel, with strong modelling and automation capabilities
• Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint
• Technology-savvy, with hands-on exposure to AI-enabled tools and modern finance systems to improve efficiency and reporting quality
• Highly motivated self-starter and collaborative team player
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines
• Proactive, adaptable, and confident in communicating with stakeholders across regions
