Job Description

Position Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing the company's full set of accounts, financial reporting, and compliance, while also supporting the operational functions of the company's manufacturing and installation segments. This role requires a hands-on professional who can balance financial responsibilities with active involvement in day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth workflow between finance and business functions.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting, HR and Admin

  • Maintain full set of accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliation.
  • Preparation of quarterly GST submission.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to the management.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards, tax, and statutory requirements.
  • Handle costing analysis for manufacturing, installation projects, and procurement.
  • In charge of HR matters.
  • Liaise with external parties
  • Any other matters as and when they're assigned to you.

Operational Involvement

  • Work closely with operations and installation teams to track project costs and profitability.
  • Monitor inventory movement, and material costing to support production efficiency.
  • Assist in streamlining workflows and improving cost control measures.
  • Participate in operational meetings, providing financial insights to support decision-making.

Supervisory

  • Guide and supervise the Operation Assistant in daily accounting, operations and administrative tasks.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data entry, filing, and record keeping.
  • Provide training and support to staff on accounting and operational procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting.
  • Preferably with at least 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or related industries.
  • Proficient in accounting software (Xero) and MS Excel.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting.
  • Ability to multitask between finance and operational roles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Hours

  • Mondays to Fridays, 8.30am to 5.30pm
  • May be required to work overtime during financial closing or peak periods.
