As an Accountant Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance department with day-to-day accounting operations. You will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts payable and receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and on time.
- Bank reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements and company accounts.
- Financial reporting support: Prepare supporting schedules and assist in monthly closing activities.
- Payroll assistance: Support payroll processing and maintain employee records.
- Document management: Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records.
- Audit and compliance support: Assist in preparing documents for audits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Cross-department collaboration: Work closely with project teams to track expenses and budgets.
- REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent qualification.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience (construction industry experience is an advantage).
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, MYOB, or SAP).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
