Job Summary
Manage full sets of accounts and month-end closing for multiple clients. Lead and supervise finance teams to deliver accurate financial statements, consolidate group accounts, and advise clients on finance operations. Drive automation initiatives and resolve complex accounting issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage full sets of accounts for a portfolio of clients independently or with assistant support to ensure accurate financial records
- Perform month-end closing processes for multiple companies to meet reporting deadlines
- Review monthly management accounts and reporting packages to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Lead and supervise junior accountants and executives in daily outsourced finance functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing
- Consolidate simple to complex group accounts to provide comprehensive financial overviews
- Compile financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and client requirements
- Provide financial management services support to clients, enhancing their operational efficiency
- Analyze and resolve complex accounting issues to maintain accurate financial reporting
- Advise clients on finance operations, accounting systems, accounting treatments, and reporting to improve financial processes
- Participate in automation projects or lead automation initiatives to improve finance function efficiency
- Undertake ad-hoc assignments as required to support business needs
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in Australian companies
- Experience working with outsourcing firms is advantageous
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications to support finance operations
- IT background or experience with modern automation tools is highly desired
- Demonstrated clear thinking, commitment, meticulousness, good time management, resourcefulness, proactivity, and ability to work independently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with clients and teams
- Integrity and honesty in handling sensitive financial information
