Job Summary
Join a dynamic start-up interior design firm as an Accountant, where you will lead comprehensive financial management activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency within a collaborative and flexible hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage full sets of accounts by processing invoicing, updating receipts, handling vendor invoices, arranging payments, recording journal entries, reconciling bank statements, maintaining balance sheet schedules, fixed asset registers, and general ledger accuracy
- Oversee daily financial operations and monitor cash flow to support business sustainability and growth
- Prepare and review GST submissions and tax returns to ensure timely and accurate statutory compliance
- Compile financial statements and assist with related statutory filings to meet regulatory requirements
- Administer end-to-end payroll processes including salary and commission calculation, preparation, and disbursement each month
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations such as CPF contributions, income tax, and payroll-related taxes to mitigate risks
- Support general administrative tasks to maintain smooth office operations
- Work independently to manage assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing full-set accounting functions
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks to streamline financial processes
- Strong analytical skills applied to problem-solving within financial contexts
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
- Hands-on approach to managing accounting and administrative tasks
