Accountant / Accounts Executive

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant / Accounts Executive to join a dynamic maritime business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their accounting career to gain hands-on exposure to regional finance operations, vessel-related accounting, and international transactions within a fast-paced industry.

You will work closely with an experienced finance team and leadership, with opportunities to develop your technical skills, improve processes, and grow within the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support month-end and year-end closing, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Assist in preparing management reports and group reporting schedules across multiple entities
• Handle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including invoice processing and reconciliations
• Perform bank reconciliations and support multi-currency transactions, including international payments and Letters of Credit (LCs)
• Assist with GST and corporate tax compliance, working with external auditors and tax agents
• Monitor cash flow and support financial planning activities
• Conduct basic checks on financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support costing and profitability analysis for projects and operations

What We're Looking For

-Diploma or Degree in Accountancy or a related field

-1-3 years of accounting experience (candidates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply)

-Basic understanding of accounting standards (SFRS/IFRS), GST, and corporate tax

-Strong Excel skills knowledge of Power Query, Tableau, or Power BI is an advantage

-Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work both independently and in a team

-Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow

-Good communication skills, with the ability to work with regional stakeholders
