Accountant (612 Months Contract, Potential Conversion)

Our client is strengthening its finance function and is seeking junior accountants or financial analysts to support the existing finance team. This role works closely with both business and finance stakeholders to support performance analysis, commercial decision-making, and management reporting.

The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a keen interest in improving reporting and analysis through enhanced systems and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine reconciliations across revenue, general ledger, balance sheet accounts, and system-to-source data.

• Prepare and post manual journal entries for adjustments, reclassifications, and corrections.

• Investigate, track, and document reconciliation variances, working with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution.

• Support the preparation of accurate and complete inputs for management and financial reporting.

• Assist with variance analysis and month-end close activities.

• Maintain and update documentation related to accounting policies, data mappings, and end-to-end process flows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year experience in accounting/finance.
• Experience with ERP systems, data platforms, or BI tools is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across functions.
