Job Summary
The Account Manager will drive revenue growth and expand market presence in Singapore and ASEAN by selling COMSOL Multiphysics engineering simulation solutions to enterprise, government, and academic clients.
Responsibilities
Sales& Business Development
- Drive new business acquisitions and increase revenue for COMSOL Multiphysics products across Singapore and ASEAN markets
- Develop and execute strategic account plans and roadmaps for targeted key accounts
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets by managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure
- Identify and develop sales opportunities across industries such as defense, energy, electronics, healthcare, semiconductor, manufacturing and government sectors
Account& Customer Management
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with users, engineering managers, R&D leads, professors, and procurement teams
- Analyze client business challenges, goals, and decision-making processes to tailor solutions effectively
- Position the company as a strategic advisor by fostering trust-based partnerships beyond vendor relationships
- Collaborate with internal technical application and operations teams to ensure successful solution implementation
Forecasting& Reporting
- Maintain accurate customer data, sales pipeline, and sales forecasts to support business planning
- Provide real-time market intelligence on competitors, customer trends, and growth opportunities
- Prepare and deliver regular sales performance reports to management
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in business, engineering or relevant field
- 3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in technical sales
- Demonstrated business acumen to understand market and client needs
- Strong negotiation skills to close deals effectively
- Proven interpersonal and closing skills to build client relationships and secure sales
- Ability to identify customer pain points and technical challenges and formulate effective solutions
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Exposure to simulation software, R&D industry, and/or FEM and CAD/CAE applications is a good to have
