About the Role:
This position, based in Singapore, will report directly to the Finance Director responsible for the consolidation portfolio covering Singapore, Australia, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, while also supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities across the region.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage full sets of accounts including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Inventory to support month-end closing activities and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, posting and managing the AR & AP function, working independently to ensure compliance with internal controls, workflow processes and statutory requirements (eg ensure tax compliance for GST and withholding tax)
- Oversee the month-end close process including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation, constantly recommend and implementing procedures to eliminate inefficiencies and enhance simplicity.
- Prepare timely and accurate reporting of financial results for the Group - including JSOX report and other management reports.
- Assist in audit / tax reporting to meet statutory compliance reporting requirements
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and assignments as required by Line Manager.
Top Three Main Qualifications Which Candidates Must Have:
- Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.
- 35 years of relevant experience in audit or within a multinational corporation (MNC) environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365 (AX), along with advanced Excel skills.
