Account Executive/Assistant (Timor-Leste)

Location: Based in Timor-Leste

Job Description

  • Handle daily cash transactions, payments, and receipts in compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate cash books, vouchers, and supporting documents.
  • Assist in bank deposits, withdrawals, and reconciliation of cash and bank balances.
  • Support monthly closing by preparing cash-related schedules and reports.
  • Ensure timely submission of expense claims and petty cash records.
  • Liaise with the finance team to ensure smooth cash flow management.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in cashier or accounting roles.
  • Familiarity with cash handling, reconciliation, and basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Xero experience is an advantage).
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin, to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
