Job Description

We are a Singapore-based distributor in the semiconductor packaging industry with an established customer base and strong working capital position.

We are seeking a hands-on Account Manager to manage and grow key customer relationships, protect gross margins, and support the company's next phase of structured growth.

This role will work closely with senior management and progressively take over selected customer accounts as part of a long-term succession plan.

Key Responsibilities

1 Account Management & Customer Retention

  • Manage a portfolio of assigned customer accounts

  • Maintain regular contact to understand demand forecasts and operational needs

  • Handle day-to-day inquiries, quotations, and issue resolution

  • Ensure high service reliability and on-time fulfilment

  • Gradually support transition of selected accounts from senior management

2 Revenue & Margin Management

  • Prepare quotations aligned with company pricing guidelines

  • Negotiate within approved margin thresholds

  • Monitor customer profitability and flag margin erosion

  • Track competitor pricing trends and market developments

Commission will be based on gross profit, not just revenue.

3 Forecasting & Coordination

  • Work with operations team on demand forecasting

  • Communicate anticipated volume changes to ensure proper inventory planning

  • Monitor order patterns and highlight anomalies

4 Credit & Risk Awareness

  • Ensure customer credit terms are adhered to

  • Follow up on overdue receivables in coordination with finance

  • Escalate potential credit risk early

Requirements

  • 2-5 years experience in B2B sales or account management

  • Experience in semiconductor, electronics components, industrial distribution or related industry preferred

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • Structured, process-oriented and commercially aware

  • Comfortable working in a lean SME environment

  • Ability to balance customer service with margin discipline

Reporting Structure

Reports to: Director / Senior Management
