About the Role:
The Account Director will support brand stewardship and provide strategic counsel for our government sector clients. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with experience in managing government campaigns from ideation through production and rollout.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for championing clients vision and driving famously effective creative work
- Takes accountability for growing revenue and generating new business by growing existing accounts and developing new ones
- Leads the team across client portfolio managing, delegating, supervising, coaching and enhancing team capabilities
- Establishes effective client relationships at the senior most levels in the client organisation. Plans and actively supports development of the strategic direction with the Management for all clients in portfolio and manages the delivery of all aspects of creative work to set timelines and agreed costs
- Researches, develops and presents new business proposals with a clear focus on building more sales revenue either by additional cross selling to existing clients or new ones. Identify business opportunities in new markets and countries
- Leads the team to provide final sign off to any agency outputs confirming that client agreed standards for outputs are not being followed
- Demonstrates high calibre integrated advertising work
- Ensures clear and accurate briefs are taken from clients, identifies potential client issues and problems at an early stage, briefs all departments within the agency and leads to finding a client acceptable suitable solution
- Understands quality standards agreed with clients and associated project effectiveness metrics, ensures that these are compiled and updated optimally taking into account emergent changes
- Motivates, develops and manages all group account staff, understand training recommendations and delegates effectively demonstrating sound understanding of team strengths and how to get the best out of the team
- Makes sure the account is running profitably for the agency
- Accountable for achievement of sales, profitability and all key performance metrics of the client
- Financially able and ensures that all costing is accurate and profitability margins optimised. Actively participates in the negotiation of terms and conditions and ensures full compliance with agency procedures. Checks accuracy of quarterly financial targets of management team
- Develops accurate business forecasts and keenly monitors actual costs and performance v/s budgets
- Involvement in agencys awards and accolades
Qualifications:
Min. Degree and above
Minimum 8+ years of working experience in related field
Required Skills:
- Sound understanding of marketing and advertising agency working
- Familiarity with social channels, community management, online campaign development and social production requirements is a plus
- Credible project management experience ensuring deadlines are achieved adhering to budgetary requirements
- Able to understand the competitive dynamics both the clients and the companys business
- Able to assess market information, clients brief, strategic input from other departments to develop effective communication recommendations and programmes
Preferred Skills:
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision as well as in a team
- Resilient - with a can-do attitude at all times, optimistic and energetic
- Brave and confident not afraid to try new things, sell ideas to client and have difficult conversations internally and with clients
- Sound knowledge of MS Office and Keynote
