Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts cum Administrative Assistant with relevant experience in the building and construction industry to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations by processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries to ensure accurate financial records
- Track and prepare subcontractor claims and progress payments to support timely project cash flow management
- Assist with Purchases (i.e. Issue POs, arrange deliveries, etc.)
- Assist in invoicing, follow up on payments, and perform account reconciliations to maintain up-to-date financial status
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for project-based accounts to facilitate audit readiness and financial transparency
- Support GST submissions with supporting documents
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve cost, variation, and payment issues
- Assist in month-end closing activities and prepare documentation for audit processes to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Manage workers wage computation from daily time card and prepare necessary documents
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in managing contractor accounts and tracking multiple construction projects simultaneously
- Experience in Bookkeeping to support GST Submissions, Audit preparation, financial reporting
- Prior exposure to SME construction environments to understand industry-specific financial practices
