The Academy Manager (HOD level) at CuriousCore owns end-to-end delivery of academy programs for B2C and B2B clients in Singapore and Malaysia, with a local university as a key strategic account for the next two years. You will run academy operations, manage P&L, lead a small team, and drive growth through operational excellence and new business initiatives. This role suits a hands-on operator who is comfortable with numbers, stakeholder management, and program management. The role is suited for a commercially minded professional with a high sense of ownership.
Local university program delivery and quality assurance (40%)
Plan, schedule, and execute programs delivered under the local university partnership. Coordinate trainers, venues, platforms, materials, assessments, and certification. Manage the full learner journey from enquiry to completion, driving high satisfaction and NPS scores across all key accounts.
Operations, reporting, compliance, and P&L management (20%)
Oversee day-to-day operations across all CuriousCore programs, including corporate and public offerings. Own the Academy P&L - tracking enrolments, utilisation, revenue, and margin - and report regularly to internal leadership and key clients. Standardise and improve SOPs, tools, and workflows to scale delivery capacity. Maintain compliance with relevant certifying bodies in Singapore and Malaysia including SkillsFuture and HRDF (secondary priority).
Business development, tenders, and partnerships (20%)
Enable and support business development with the local university partner, corporate clients, and industry bodies such as trade associations and corporate partners. Contribute to tenders and workforce transformation proposals in collaboration with sales, product, and leadership teams. Represent CuriousCore in client meetings, reviews, and industry events to strengthen partnerships and open new revenue streams.
People leadership and coaching (20%)
Manage one to five direct reports (senior executives and junior managers) involved in academy delivery and client programs. Allocate work, set clear expectations, and coach the team to deliver high-quality programs and service. Build team capabilities and demonstrate leadership readiness for promotion to senior management.
Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent experience in business, education, or a related field ACLP/DACE or equivalent preferred
6-9 years of experience in program or operations management, ideally in L&D, executive education, EdTech, or higher education
At least 2 year of experience managing P&L or budgets in an operational role
Experience acquiring and managing institutional or corporate accounts and contributing to tenders or large training proposals
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across institutional clients, corporate partners, and trainers
Data-driven, commercially minded, and adaptable - comfortable rolling up your sleeves in a fast-growing tech enabled startup environment
Genuine interest in adult learning and talent development using Gen AI tools to speed up the process
