Roles & Responsibilities
The Academic Conference Executive is a full-time position based in Singapore. You will play a key role in conceptualising, organising, and executing high-quality international academic conferences, both physical and virtual. This role requires a strong balance of project management, stakeholder engagement, and marketing capabilities.
As an Academic Conference Executive, you will:
Identify, engage, and secure participation from leading academics, researchers, and industry experts through strategic outreach, research, and networking.
Plan and execute end-to-end conference projects, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are met within deadlines.
Develop compelling conference materials, including brochures, websites, email campaigns, and digital marketing content.
Design and implement effective marketing strategies to maximise conference attendance, leveraging academic networks, social media, partnerships, and SEO.
Build and maintain strong relationships with speakers, authors, sponsors, and institutional partners.
Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth event operations and high-quality delivery.
Oversee on-site (or virtual) conference execution to ensure a seamless and professional experience for all participants.
Conduct post-conference evaluations, including feedback collection, data analysis, and reporting to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in any discipline.
At least 1 year of relevant experience in events, marketing, academia, or project management preferred.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
High level of initiative, accountability, and a strong sense of urgency.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for networking and relationship-building.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team.
