Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Ab Initio & Python Developer with expertise in PySpark to join our team on a Fixed Term / Direct Contract basis in Singapore. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong data engineering and ETL development skills, looking to work on complex, high-impact data projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using Ab Initio tools.

Build scalable data processing frameworks using Python and PySpark.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver efficient solutions.

Optimize data workflows and improve system performance and reliability.

Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all solutions.

Support production systems and participate in incident resolution.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in data engineering.

Strong development experience with Ab Initio (graphs, plans, BRE, Co>Operating System).

Proficiency in Python, with strong experience in PySpark for distributed data processing.

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL best practices, and performance tuning.

Experience working with large datasets in distributed environments (e.g., Hadoop ecosystem).

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

Experience with scheduling tools and job orchestration frameworks (e.g., Autosys, Control-M).

Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
