A-Level Science Teacher

A-Level Science Tutor (Biology / Chemistry / Physics) - Bridging Training International (BTI), Singapore

Bridging Training International (BTI) is a Singapore-based education consultancy and tuition provider supporting local and international students across the IBDP, IGCSE, and A-Level curricula. We work with Chinese- and Japanese-speaking families, offering academic tutoring, scholarship preparation, and international school placement guidance. Our teaching team delivers structured, high-quality instruction across our Bugis and Marine Parade locations as well as through home tuition.

We are looking for experienced science tutors to join our team to teach Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics at the Singapore-Cambridge A-Level (H1/H2) and International A-Level (CIE, EDEXCEL) standard. You will work with students preparing for major examinations, as well as those seeking consistent academic support throughout the school year. You do not need to teach all three subjects - we welcome specialists in a single subject as well as tutors who can cover two or more.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver structured lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics at A-Level standard (Singapore-Cambridge and/or International A-Level syllabi)
• Prepare students for school examinations and national examinations, including topical revision, exam technique, and past-paper practice
• Develop and adapt teaching materials, worksheets, and assessments suited to each student's syllabus and level
• Track student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to students and parents
• Collaborate with BTI's academic team on curriculum planning and student progress reporting
• Maintain professionalism and reliability in scheduling, lesson delivery, and communication

Requirements:

• Degree in a relevant science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field) a teaching qualification is an advantage but not mandatory
• Proven experience teaching Singapore-Cambridge A-Level and/or International A-Level (Cambridge/Edexcel) science subjects
• Strong command of the relevant syllabus content and examination requirements
• Prior tutoring, private coaching, or classroom teaching experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills in English Mandarin proficiency is a plus given our client base
• Patient, responsible, and able to work well with students of varying ability levels
• Available for regular weekly lesson slots (weekday evenings and/or weekends)
