Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform Arc and TIG Welding
- Able to handle equipment such as grinders and other tools
- Establishes job requirements from drawings and specifications
- Mark out shape and dimensions on metal before cutting
- Drill holes or tap threads are inserted to enable the parts to be joined together
- Check and ensure the parts are an exact fit and correctly proportioned
- Assemble components by bolting, screwing, clipping, or welding
- Inspect finished work for faults and correct any issues
- Any other ad-hoc duties when required
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Arc Welding (6G) with mild steel and stainless steel
- TIG welding experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of markings and fitting
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights (up to 2m above ground)
- Able to work in open spaces, including hot weather conditions
- Flexible and adaptable in a busy team environment with established processes
- Availability to start work at short notice
