Security Clearance: Due to the highly sensitive nature of this role, the successful candidate must be eligible for and successfully obtain government security clearance.
In this role, you will be a key player in an advanced testing and experimentation facility. You won't just be maintaining systems; you'll be actively shaping how emerging technologies operate in a cutting-edge laboratory environment.
What you will be doing:
- Infrastructure Management: Take ownership of configuring, operating, and optimizing a complex 5G Core platform and its supporting infrastructure.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Lead deep-dive technical assessments, complex troubleshooting, and performance analysis of 5G Core technologies.
- Mentorship & Guidance: Act as the Subject Matter Expert, helping users navigate and utilize the experimental platform and architecture.
- Knowledge Sharing: Confidently deliver presentations on technical topics to key internal stakeholders and sizable audiences.
What you need to bring to the table:
- Deep 5G Expertise: Strong foundation in 5GC architecture, Core network functions, and a thorough understanding of 3GPP protocols and standards.
- Proven Track Record: At least 4 years of solid, hands-on experience implementing and operating 4G/5G Core networks.
- Network Infrastructure Skills: Strong familiarity with IP networking, connectivity, and routing/switching protocols (IPv4/IPv6, BGP, IGP, OSPF, MPLS) is highly desirable.
- Leadership & Drive: You need to be a highly proactive, flexible communicator who can take charge in a multi-stakeholder environment and isn't afraid to step outside the standard job scope.
