- Responsible to perform, depending on the section posted, a variety of test procedures according to the standards set in the Laboratory with little direct supervision by a senior staff
- Routine sample processing such as spinning and aliquoting of patient samples.
- Routine qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses on blood, CSF (cerebrospinal fluid), urine and other body fluids.
- Routine chemistry procedures including, microscopy (urine, dysmorphic RBCs) and serology (dengue, influenza covid combo test, urine preg)
- Minor equipment testing (iSTAT, glucometer, hemochron, urine dipstick)
- Minor equipment validation (Timer, pipette, thermometer).
- Administrative section - responsible to perform registration of patient samples, handling telephone inquiries by clients and printing and faxing of patient results.
- Result retrieval and record/specimen keeping.
Requirements
- Possess at least a degree in Biomedical Sciences
- Prior experience working in a lab is an advantage
- Able to commit immediately or on short notice
- Keen Interest in healthcare
