Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS / local regulatory standards.
- Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, and financial close processes.
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment for insurance contracts, reserves, and premium revenue recognition.
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with MAS regulatory reporting requirements and insurance regulatory frameworks.
- Prepare and submit regulatory returns and statutory reports.
- Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and internal audit teams during audits and reviews.
- Maintain strong internal controls and risk management frameworks.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Analyse financial performance and provide insights to senior management.
- Monitor key financial metrics and cost drivers within the insurance business.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent preferred.
- 7-10 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, preferably within the insurance industry.
