1. Operational Risk and Control Framework Implementation
Actively contribute to Operational Risk and Control Framework implementation for GBA, in line with the CIB APAC OPC Charter and the Global Banking Front to Ops Governance Principles of the Operational Risk Management Framework. This shall be carried out with the aim of:
- Ensuring compliance within each territory of regulations and with the bank's policies and procedures
- Protecting the Group's reputation
- Aligning and integrating with Global Banking worldwide
- Coordinating with APAC CCCO stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA) through data analysis & consolidation and liaison with relevant stakeholders in business and 2LOD
- Perform / Monitor the performance of control testing according to the control plans defined for GB APAC, and ensure:
Clear archiving of control evidence
Reporting of control results in ORUS
Follow-up on completion of remedial actions - Oversee the delivery of improvement remediation plans, as well as plans addressing material weaknesses identified in the annual risk and control self-assessment
- Monitor timely reporting of Front Office control results on ORUS and provide support to Business team heads on:
Collection of control evidence
ORUS system navigation - Oversee incident management by coordinating with stakeholders on:
Root cause investigation
Remediation plan definition and implementation
Clear and timely reporting on the Incident Reporting System - Support business in handling complaints, including:
Ensuring review by Metier Complaint Contact
Timely reply to client per local regulatory and BNPP requirement
Accurate & timely complaint logging - Coordinate IG/Risk ORM/Compliance/Regulatory missions and follow up to ensure timely closure of recommendations
- Support coordination of New Activity Committee (NAC) & Transaction Approval Committee (TAC), and ensure:
Compliance of TAC/NAC documentation with applicable CIB policy
Follow-up of TAC/NAC conditions and Post Implementation Review (PIR) - Support implementation of governance related to operational risk management by:
Preparing meeting materials
Organizing committees
Producing high-quality meeting minutes (e.g. Internal Control Committees, Permanent Control Committees) - In the role of Procedure SPOC:
Support business on procedure management in coordination with Procedure Champion and Procedure Correspondent of the perimeter
2. Enhancement of Operational Risk Management Framework
Contribute to the enhancement of the Global Banking APAC operational risk management framework, in alignment and integration with Global Banking worldwide, and in coordination with APAC operational risk management stakeholders:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing standards for:
Defining the risk cartography
Implementing, evaluating, tracking, reporting, and testing of controls - Contribute to the implementation of Global Banking roadmaps and priorities on operational risk management in APAC
- Contribute to periodic review of existing control framework and propose enhancements, including mechanisms for feedback loops
3. Conduct Risk Governance Implementation
Contribute to implementing the relevant conduct governance framework in Global Banking, in coordination with the Governance, Regulatory and Conduct GB APAC team (especially those related to ORMF):
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the performance of conduct risk assessment as part of the annual RCSA campaigns
- Support, as needed, the implementation in Global Banking APAC of actions derived from analysis of relevant conduct risk metrics in collaboration with CCCO teams
- Support, as needed, the promotion or rollout in Global Banking APAC of conduct training and conduct awareness campaigns launched by CCCO teams
