About HOME

The Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics (HOME) is a Singapore NGO dedicated to supporting and empowering migrant workers who experience abuse and exploitation. Through welfare services, skills development, community programmes, research, advocacy and public education, HOME works towards a society that upholds the dignity and rights of all migrant workers.

Role purpose

The Senior Communications and Partnerships Manager leads HOME's public communications and external engagement. The role strengthens HOME's public profile, translates its work and advocacy into clear communications, builds trusted relationships with partners and funders, and ensures that grants and partnerships are supported by timely, high-quality proposals and reports. The role reports directly to the Executive Director.

Key responsibilities

1. Communications

Develop and implement an annual communications plan and content calendar aligned with HOME's organisational priorities, research and advocacy objectives and fundraising needs.
Set editorial direction and maintain a consistent and respectful organisational voice across HOME's website, quarterly newsletters and social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn).
Track channel performance and audience engagement, and use the findings to improve communications planning and content.
Coordinate production of Board Quarterly Reports and HOME's Annual Report with the Communications Executive, programme leads and external design vendors, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

2. Media and Public Relations

Coordinate responses to media enquiries, including gathering facts, preparing statements, and securing the necessary internal approval.
Oversee HOME's general contact email and ensure enquiries are acknowledged, routed and followed up appropriately.

3. Partnerships

Develop and maintain purposeful relationships with companies, foundations, government agencies, schools, civil society organisations and other partners.
Represent HOME at meetings, corporate events and public education platforms
Maintain accurate partnership and public engagement records.

4. Grant applications and impact reporting

Draft and coordinate grant applications and donor impact reports in line with the organisation's fundraising priorities and deadlines.

5. Team and volunteer management

Supervise, coach and set clear priorities for the Communications Executive and volunteers, including regular work planning and performance feedback.
Maintain organised records, templates, brand assets and working files so that communications and partnership knowledge is retained by HOME.

Candidate profile

Experience and qualifications

A degree, diploma or equivalent professional experience in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, partnerships, or a related field.
At least five years of relevant work experience, including supervising staff.
Strong track record in organisational communications, editorial work, media relations, stakeholder engagement or partnerships.
Experience in a charity, social impact, human rights, labour, or community setting is an advantage.
Experience managing websites, social media channels, email communications and content performance data is an advantage.

Skills and attributes

Excellent written and spoken English, with the judgement to adapt complex or sensitive information for different audiences.
Strong editorial judgement and attention to factual accuracy, tone, confidentiality, informed consent and reputational risk.
Sound project management and organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing deadlines.
A collaborative management style.
Comfortable working in a small, mission-driven organisation.
Commitment to HOME's mission and to treating migrant workers with dignity and respect.
