The Health & Wellbeing (Office of the President) is responsible for the innovation, implementation and evaluation of health & wellbeing programmes and initiatives which support the general NUS population, as well as specific employees who are exposed to acute mentally stressful events. The NUS Care Unit (NCU) is part of the Health & Wellbeing unit and provides specialised in-house trauma-informed support to students and staff across the NUS community. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Manager to support individuals affected by sexual misconduct, including sexual harassment and sexual violence.

As a Care Manager (NCU), you will provide timely, person-centered support throughout clients recovery journeys, coordinate access to relevant services and resources, and contribute to NCU's prevention, engagement and outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Respond sensitively and promptly to individuals contacting NCU through telephone calls, emails, walk-ins, referrals and other channels.
Conduct intake interviews and assess clients immediate needs, safety concerns and support requirements.
Provide trauma-informed case management and ongoing psychosocial support, while respecting clients choices, autonomy and confidentiality.
Support clients in understanding their available options and accessing appropriate internal and external services.
Coordinate referrals and liaise with relevant NUS departments, healthcare providers, community agencies and, where appropriate, external parties such as the police, hospitals and legal services.
Maintain accurate, timely and confidential case notes, reports and other documentation, with close attention to data integrity.
Participate in a rotating on-call roster, which may include after-hours telephone support and on-site activation.
Work collaboratively with members of NCU and other colleagues across NUS to ensure coordinated and responsive care.
Contribute professional knowledge and operational support to NCU's education, training, engagement and outreach initiatives.
Support service reviews, programme evaluation and other Unit initiatives where required.
Undertake other related duties assigned by the Head of NCU.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social work, Counselling, Psychology or a related discipline.
At least three years of relevant experience in case management, counselling, social services, crisis support or a related area.
Experience providing trauma-informed support, particularly to individuals affected by sexual misconduct, interpersonal violence or other distressing experiences, is preferred. Experience within a university, educational institution or complex organisational environment would be advantageous.
Strong case management, assessment and stakeholder-coordination skills.
Able to engage sensitively and professionally with both students and staff from diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrates empathy, sound professional judgement and a strong commitment to confidentiality.
Ability to manage complex and sensitive situations calmly, including situations involving heightened distress or risk.
Meticulous and conscientious, with a high standard of documentation and administrative accuracy.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Experience facilitating training, presentations or outreach activities would be advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
