Purpose of the job

Manage international shipments in a compliant, efficient and cost-effective way, supporting team capability, operational consistency and continuous improvement.

Manage selected logistics procurement categories across APAC with an initial focus on Oceania (excl. ocean freight sourcing and tendering, unless specifically assigned).

As an Export & Procurement Coordinator - APAC you will manage:

Export Activities

Manage international shipments from planning to execution ensuring they are delivered on time and cost-efficiently.
Ensure compliance with Incoterms, international trade regulations, and dairy industry standards. Handle critical shipping documents with precision.
Be the go-to contact for suppliers, customers, warehouses, and transport providers, ensuring seamless coordination.
Optimize processes by identifying inefficiencies and implementing smarter logistics solutions.
Solve challenges proactively, minimizing supply chain disruptions.
Manage timely and accurate goods-receipt for warehouse stocks into the ERP system.
Keep track of shipments, costs, and performance metrics, contributing to continuous improvement.
Support the digitization journey of export process and customer experience

Procurement Activities

Build market knowledge for warehouses & inland transport across APAC, with an initial focus on Oceania.
Develop RFQs and analysis for supplier selection; coordinate supplier negotiations and lead selected negotiations within agreed authority levels, based on Interfood requirements, commercial terms and conditions.
Coordinate contract finalization and implementation for logistics suppliers.
Act as the APAC focal point for supply chain sourcing projects, working with global & regional stakeholders wherever applicable.
Manage other supply chain procurement projects such as label-printing services, forwarder document fee reduction.
Maintain supplier scorecards and savings tracking, support targeted cost-reduction initiatives.
Coordinate savings validation with Finance and Global Procurement.
Support coordinating stakeholders for warehouse audits if needed.

Competencies Required:

Familiarity with Incoterms, import/export process, shipping documents, international trade regulations. Knowledge of Letter of Credit is preferred.
Ability to independently manage complex export cases, customer escalations and operational exceptions.
Team player with the ability to coordinate effectively with Commercial, Finance, QA, Global Procurement, suppliers and logistics partners to drive practical solutions.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance service, risk and cost considerations.
Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps, analyse operational data and implement sustainable improvements.
Good analytical capability to compare quotations, challenge logistics costs and support fact-based sourcing decisions.
Experience in sourcing, negotiation, supplier contracts, procurement governance and savings tracking.
Experience in warehouse or drayage supplier management, including onboarding, performance review and issue resolution is preferred.
Attention to detail; able to manage multiple shipments while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Good knowledge of automation tools, including Office 365 and ERP systems.

Education/Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, International Trade or a related field.
8–10 years of relevant experience, including substantial hands-on experience in export operations or international freight management.
