Role Purpose

The Customer Service Representative delivers excellent customer service across multiple channels, handling enquiries, registrations, complaints and transactions accurately and efficiently. The role resolves customer queries, promotes relevant products and services, maintains compliance and data accuracy, and contributes to customer satisfaction, retention and revenue growth.

Role Accountabilities

The candidate will deliver high-quality customer service across all channels, handling enquiries, complaints and registrations accurately and professionally. They will maintain accurate customer data and comply with safeguarding, financial and information security requirements. They will identify opportunities to recommend relevant British Council products and services, support bookings, payments, refunds and customer communications, and provide customer insights to support continuous improvement. They will also maintain up-to-date knowledge of British Council products, services and policies.

Role specific skills, knowledge and experience:

Experience in a customer-facing role, delivering services to agreed quality standards, with strong computer literacy and confidence using standard applications. Experience in identifying service-to-sales opportunities and using digital tools such as CRM and online registration systems would be desirable.

Language: Strong English proficiency is essential for this role, requiring fluency in both written and spoken communication to effectively navigate British Council systems and support international operations.

Education: Candidates should hold a diploma in any field. A degree will be considered an added advantage.
