Our client is an international FMCG company operating a regional trade hub in Singapore, supporting cross-border procurement, distribution, and supply chain activities across Southeast Asia. The business specializes in ice cream, chilled food, dairy, desserts, and other perishable consumer products supported by a high-volume cold-chain distribution network.

As the Singapore entity manages international trade transactions connecting manufacturing facilities with regional and global markets, the organization is strengthening its finance and trade administration function. The company is seeking a detail-oriented professional who can support both daily bookkeeping and end-to-end commercial trade documentation.

Job Role

The Finance & Trade Operations Staff will handle day-to-day finance and trade administration activities for the Singapore entity. This is a hands-on operational role combining bookkeeping, transaction recording, document control, and import/export trade documentation.

The position will prepare and maintain commercial and shipping documents, coordinate with factories, customers, freight forwarders, logistics providers, and customs agents, while also supporting accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, transaction recording, and month-end closing. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage high volumes of documentation accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, verify, organize, and archive import/export and shipping documentation for cross-border transactions.
Prepare and maintain commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, air waybills, certificates of origin, customs documents, and other trade-related paperwork.
Coordinate documentation and shipment requirements with manufacturing facilities, customers, freight forwarders, logistics providers, and customs agents.
Perform daily bookkeeping and transaction recording, including journal entries and supporting schedules.
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable administration and maintain accurate transaction records.
Perform bank reconciliations and assist with account reconciliation activities.
Support month-end financial closing activities and ensure required transaction documents are complete and properly organized.
Prepare and submit financial and transaction documentation to Finance HQ and external accounting or audit providers.
Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems to ensure documents are traceable and audit-ready.
Provide general finance, trade, and administrative support for the Singapore entity.
Coordinate with regional teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of cross-border transactions.

Candidate Requirements

Singapore Citizen.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
2–4+ years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping, accounting administration, trade administration, or a related operational finance role.
Experience in an MNC, FMCG, manufacturing, trading, or international business environment is preferred.
Hands-on experience supporting import/export, shipping, or international trade documentation.
Experience handling both basic accounting activities and commercial/trade documentation is highly advantageous.
Familiarity with commercial documents such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (BL), Air Waybills (AWB), Certificates of Origin, and customs permits.
Good understanding of bookkeeping, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and basic financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
Experience with accounting software or ERP platforms such as SAP, Yonyou, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or equivalent is preferred.
Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage high volumes of documentation accurately.
Strong coordination and communication skills when working with internal and external stakeholders.
Professional English proficiency, both written and spoken, for documentation and corporate communication.
Mandarin Chinese fluency, both written and spoken, is mandatory for daily communication with overseas factories, suppliers, and HQ teams in China and Indonesia.
