**Job Summary**

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on and dependable Finance & Accounting Intern to support our Finance team. The successful candidate will gain hands-on exposure to finance operations across multiple entities within the Singapore office, assisting with bookkeeping, project cost reconciliation, billing support and general finance administration, while working closely with the Finance Manager and Senior Accountant.

This role is ideal for someone who has a basic foundation in accounting and is keen to gain practical experience in a fast-paced communications agency. The candidate should be organized, detail-oriented and willing to learn, with a positive attitude towards taking on hands-on finance-related tasks and supporting the team where required.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Operations

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Prepare customer invoices and support collection of outstanding receivables.
Perform bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations.
Process staff expense claims.
Process accounting transactions and maintain vendor and customer master data using Workday Financials.
Maintain accurate accounting records and finance documentation.

Project Finance

Prepare project cost reconciliations and verify third party costs against client billings.
Investigate and resolve cost discrepancies.
Support project billing and maintain project cost and revenue trackers.

Finance Support

Prepare month end schedules and supporting documentation.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, clients and vendors on finance related matters.
Assist with audit, tax and statutory reporting.
Support finance process improvements and special projects.

Other Responsibilities

Assist with contract administration, procurement and vendor onboarding.
Provide general finance administrative support.
Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Solid accounting knowledge with practical experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations.
Experience in project cost reconciliation and project billing is preferred.
Hands on experience with Workday Financials is highly preferred.
Able to read and understand Chinese, as the role requires the review and processing of Chinese language invoices, contracts and other finance related supporting documents.
Experience in a communications, PR, advertising, media, consulting or other professional services environment is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and XLOOKUP or VLOOKUP.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proactive, dependable and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
A positive team player who is comfortable supporting ad hoc finance and operational activities, and is willing to go the extra mile during month end, audit periods and business peak periods.
