Job Summary

Responsible for the overall technical and engineering management of Ultrapure Water (UPW) systems for Front-End Semiconductor FAB projects, covering system planning, design, procurement, construction, interface coordination and commissioning. Ensure UPW water quality, capacity, reliability and project delivery meet FAB process and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

UPW System Design
Lead UPW system capacity, process, equipment and piping design, including Pretreatment, RO, EDI, Polishing and Distribution Loop systems.
Engineering & Vendor Document Review
Review PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, layouts, calculations and vendor documents to ensure compliance with FAB requirements and design standards.
Multidisciplinary Interface Coordination
Coordinate UPW interfaces with Process Equipment, Wastewater, Water Reclamation, Chemical, Facilities, Electrical and I&C systems.
Procurement & Technical Evaluation
Prepare equipment technical specifications, conduct Technical Bid Evaluations, review Vendor Data and provide technical clarifications.
Construction & Site Support
Manage RFIs, design changes, site interfaces and installation issues during construction to ensure compliance with approved design requirements.
Testing & Commissioning
Lead or support system testing, flushing, commissioning, performance testing and water quality verification to ensure UPW meets process requirements.
Project Progress & Technical Risk Management
Monitor engineering progress, quality, technical risks and critical issues, coordinating with relevant teams for timely resolution.
Technical Leadership
Serve as the UPW System Technical Lead, coordinating engineers, design teams, Clients and Suppliers throughout the EPCK project lifecycle.

Requirements

Diploma / Associate Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience in UPW systems and semiconductor / high-tech facility projects is highly preferred.
Hands-on experience in site construction supervision and subcontractor management.
Able to read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, engineering drawings and control system diagrams.
Familiar with construction processes, work sequencing and multidisciplinary site interface coordination.
Able to work independently on site and coordinate effectively with project teams, contractors, Clients and suppliers.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in English and Chinese additional language skills are an advantage.
Willing to perform site-based and shift work when required by the project.
Relevant qualifications and licences must comply with applicable Singapore laws and regulatory requirements.
