The Opportunity

As Middle Office Manager, you will take ownership of critical Product Control and valuation activities, ensuring the integrity of trading P&L, positions and balance sheet reporting.

You will act as a trusted business partner to Trading, Risk and Finance teams, providing oversight across valuation controls, reconciliations, governance and emerging market risks while helping drive operational excellence and automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversight and validation of daily trading P&L and trading balance sheet reporting

• Ownership of trade, position and valuation controls

• Investigation and resolution of trading, broker and clearer reconciliation breaks

• Leading valuation control processes across a diverse range of financial products

• Partnering with Front Office teams on new business initiatives and trading activities

• Acting as a key escalation point for senior internal and external stakeholders

• Driving automation, technology enhancement and process optimisation initiatives

• Managing and mentoring team members while fostering a high-performance culture

What we're looking for

We are interested in speaking with professionals who possess:

• 5+ years of experience in Product Control, Middle Office, Market Risk, Valuation Control or Financial Control within a bank, trading firm, hedge fund or financial markets institution

• Strong understanding of financial products, particularly derivatives, futures, options and other traded instruments

• Knowledge of valuation methodologies, accounting treatment and risk management frameworks

• Experience engaging with Front Office stakeholders and senior business leaders

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, ideally with exposure to SQL, Python, VBA or BI tools

• Prior team leadership or supervisory experience

• Professional accounting qualifications (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent) advantageous
