As a Journalist, you will be responsible for researching, investigating, and producing engaging local news stories. You will gather information through interviews, field reporting, and research, while presenting stories in a clear, concise, and compelling manner across our platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Research, investigate, and report on local news stories and current affairs
Conduct interviews and gather information from relevant stakeholders and sources
Produce accurate, timely, and engaging content for publication
Identify emerging news angles and develop story ideas with a strong news sense
Work closely with editors and team members to deliver quality journalism under tight timelines

Requirements

Degree in a relevant discipline, preferably in Journalism, Mass Communication, Chinese Language, or related fields
Prior relevant journalism, media, or editorial experience will be an advantage
Effectively bilingual in Chinese and English (written and spoken), as this role supports a Chinese publication
Passionate about news, current affairs, and journalism, with a strong curiosity and a keen nose for news
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds
Resourceful, adaptable, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to manage pressure and irregular working hours
