Better Payment Network (BPN), Incubated through Binance Yzilabs, is a next-generation stablecoin settlement network designed to power cross-border payments in emerging markets.

Rather than serving consumers directly, BPN connects licensed financial institutions on both sides of cross-border payments:

PSPs in markets such as Hong Kong and Singapore serving large numbers of cross-border merchants;
Banks, PSPs, VASPs and stablecoin institutions in emerging markets providing local collection, FX and settlement capabilities.

BPN enables businesses across cross-border e-commerce, trade, logistics and digital entertainment to collect local fiat, move value globally through stablecoins, and settle into their preferred currencies.

Role Overview

This is a hybrid role combining Financial Institution Business Development and Merchant Acquiring. We are looking for someone with 10+ years of experience in Latin American payments who deeply understands the banking and payment ecosystems in Brazil, Mexico and Argentina, with an established senior network across banks, PSPs, acquirers, fintechs and other financial institutions.

You should be equally comfortable sitting with the CEO of a local payment institution to structure a strategic partnership and sitting with a large merchant or PSP to win payment volume.

The mandate is simple:

Build the network, bring the flow, and turn LatAm into a meaningful revenue and profit center for BPN.

What You Will Own

1) Financial Institution Network

Develop and own BPN's FI network across Latin America, with an initial focus on Brazil, Mexico and Argentina.
Build strategic relationships with banks, PSPs, acquirers, VASPs and other licensed financial institutions.
Identify the strongest local partners for collection, payout, FX and stablecoin settlement.
Structure partnerships covering commercial terms, use cases, pricing and expected payment flows.
Maintain senior-level relationships and develop BPN into a meaningful strategic partner rather than another payment vendor.

2) Merchant Acquiring & Volume Growth

Build and own the LatAm merchant acquisition strategy.
Directly originate large merchants and payment flows, particularly across e-commerce, cross-border trade and logistics.
Develop relationships with marketplaces, exporters/importers, merchant aggregators and PSPs with meaningful payment volume.
Convert BPN's network capabilities into concrete merchant propositions and scalable payment corridors.
Own pipeline quality, conversion, activation and ultimately TPV and revenue, not simply signed partnerships.

3) Commercial & P&L Ownership

This is not a partnership role measured by the number of logos signed.
You will be expected to understand the full economics of the business — including pricing, FX, liquidity, partner costs and contribution margin — and make commercial decisions accordingly.
Candidates who have previously owned a country, regional or business-line P&L are strongly preferred.

What We Are Looking For

10+ years in payments, fintech, banking, acquiring or cross-border payments in Latin America.
Deep first-hand knowledge of the Brazilian, Mexican and Argentine banking and payment ecosystems.
Strong existing senior network across banks, PSPs, acquirers, fintechs and major merchants.
Proven ability to originate and close complex FI partnerships.
Strong merchant acquiring track record with demonstrable payment volume.
Particularly strong exposure to e-commerce, cross-border trade, logistics or B2B payments.
Strong commercial judgment and ability to understand payment economics, FX and margin.
Experience managing teams and senior external stakeholders.
Fluent professional English; Portuguese and/or Spanish strongly preferred.

Strong Plus

Previous country/regional GM or P&L ownership.
Experience building a payments business or market from an early stage.
Deep knowledge of local payment rails such as Pix and SPEI, local acquiring and alternative payment methods.
Experience in stablecoins, crypto payments, cross-border FX or treasury.
Existing relationships with major LatAm e-commerce platforms, exporters/importers and payment aggregators.

What Success Looks Like

We are not looking for someone whose strength is simply having a large network.
The right person knows which institutions matter, which merchants control meaningful flow, what commercial proposition will move that flow, and how to turn relationships into sustainable revenue.
You will have significant ownership over BPN's Latin America strategy and will work directly with the Founder & CEO to determine where and with whom the network expands.
This role reports directly to the Founder & CEO.
