Our client is a well-establishedreal estate platform seeking an experienced finance leader to join its senior leadership team.

The role will have broad responsibility across finance, financial reporting, treasury, capital management, tax, governance and regulatory matters, working closely with senior management and the Board, as well as key external stakeholders including investors, lenders, regulators and professional advisors.

The successful candidate will play an important role in capital management, funding activities, portfolio growth and strategic investment initiatives, with exposure to a broad range of corporate finance and capital markets matters.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Financial Reporting

Lead the overall finance, accounting and financial reporting functions of the organisation.
Oversee quarterly and annual financial reporting, including SGX announcements and regulatory disclosures.
Ensure compliance with SFRS, SGX listing requirements, MAS regulations and applicable regulatory requirements.
Oversee statutory audits and manage relationships with external auditors and professional advisors.
Maintain robust financial controls, accounting policies, governance and risk management frameworks.
Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management and the Board to support business and investment decisions.
Prepare and present financial results, management reports and key financial matters to senior stakeholders.

Treasury, Capital Management & Capital Markets

Lead the organisation's treasury and capital management strategy, ensuring appropriate funding, liquidity and capital structure.
Manage debt financing and refinancing activities, including bank facilities, bilateral and syndicated loans and other financing arrangements.
Maintain and develop relationships with banks, lenders and other financing partners.
Lead or support capital raising and capital markets transactions, including bank loans, bonds, perpetual securities and other debt or hybrid capital instruments.
Evaluate and execute appropriate funding solutions to support acquisitions, asset enhancement initiatives, portfolio expansion and other strategic investments.
Work closely with financial institutions and external advisors on the structuring, negotiation, pricing, documentation and execution of financing and capital market transactions.
Monitor debt maturity profiles, financial covenants, leverage and liquidity requirements.
Manage interest rate exposure and develop appropriate strategies for interest rate and liquidity risk management.
Evaluate opportunities to optimise the organisation's cost of capital, funding mix and overall capital structure.
Support equity capital market transactions and other listed-market activities as required.

Strategic Finance & Business Partnering

Partner with senior management and relevant investment teams on key strategic initiatives, including:
- Acquisitions and divestments
- Asset enhancement initiatives
- Portfolio optimisation
- Joint ventures and strategic investments
- Capital allocation
Provide commercial and financial analysis to support investment and strategic decisions.
Lead the budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning processes.
Assess the financial and capital implications of major business initiatives and provide recommendations to senior management.
Support the organisation's growth strategy through disciplined financial planning, capital allocation and performance management.

Investor & Stakeholder Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, research analysts, banks, lenders, rating agencies, trustees and professional advisors.
Support quarterly results briefings, investor presentations, annual reports and other financial and capital markets communications.
Participate in discussions with investors and financing partners, providing clear and credible financial perspectives.
Work closely with senior management on external communications and stakeholder engagement.
Establish strong working relationships with the Board, auditors, regulators, advisors and other key stakeholders.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

Ensure compliance with SGX requirements, MAS regulations, applicable REIT / listed-company regulations and corporate governance standards.
Oversee tax planning, compliance and related advisory matters.
Work closely with the Board and relevant Board committees on financial, governance, risk and control matters.
Maintain strong relationships with the Trustee, regulators, auditors and external advisors, where applicable.
Identify and proactively manage financial, treasury and operational risks.
Ensure a high standard of financial discipline, transparency and governance across the organisation.

Leadership & Finance Transformation

Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team.
Strengthen team capabilities and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Drive improvements in finance processes, systems, reporting and controls.
Identify opportunities for automation, digitalisation and greater efficiency across the finance function.
Enhance the scalability and effectiveness of the finance function in support of the organisation's continued growth.

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
Approximately 12–18+ years of progressive finance experience, with substantial experience at a senior management level.
Significant experience within one or more of the following:
- Singapore-listed companies
- REITs
- Listed property companies
- Real estate investment management
- Private equity real estate
- Infrastructure investment platforms
- Corporate finance / capital markets
Strong understanding of the Singapore listed environment, SGX reporting and regulatory requirements, financial reporting and corporate governance.
Proven experience across treasury, capital management, debt financing and refinancing.
Demonstrated experience in capital raising and financing transactions, ideally covering bank loans / facilities, bonds, perpetual securities and/or other debt or hybrid capital instruments.
Experience working with banks, lenders, investors, Board members, auditors, regulators and external advisors.
Strong financial reporting and technical accounting capabilities, combined with sound commercial judgement.
