The Opportunity

Val-Technik is looking for a Sales Engineer to grow our building automation, HVAC controls, valves and energy metering business in Singapore.

We are looking for someone who enjoys finding new customers, opening doors and creating sales opportunities - not simply handling incoming enquiries or maintaining existing accounts.

You may already have experience in BMS, HVAC, controls, valves, metering or other technical products. You do not need to know our entire portfolio from day one. What matters is your ability to learn technical solutions and develop new business.

What You Will Do

Prospect and develop new customers and project opportunities
Build relationships with M&E consultants, contractors, system integrators, building owners and facility managers
Develop opportunities early and work towards influencing project specifications
Sell BMS/building automation, HVAC controls, valves, actuators, water and energy metering solutions
Understand customer requirements and work with our technical team to develop solutions
Introduce lesser-known brands and convince customers based on technical and commercial value
Manage opportunities from prospecting and proposal through negotiation and closing
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM
Work towards agreed individual sales targets

Who We Are Looking For

Ideally, you have 2-6 years of technical sales or business development experience, preferably within:

BMS / Building Automation
HVAC / HVAC Controls
Control Valves & Actuators
Water / Energy Metering
Energy Management
System Integration
Other engineering or building-services solutions

Most importantly, you should:

Enjoy hunting and developing new business
Be comfortable approaching new customers
Have experience developing new accounts, not only servicing existing ones
Be willing to sell solutions that may not already be well known in the market
Be comfortable working towards a personal sales target
Be technically curious and willing to learn
Be persistent and organised in following opportunities through to closing
