The Role

As the sole Presales & Solutions Consultant, you will own the entire presales function end-to-end. You will act as the bridge between sales, technical, project delivery, and customers, translating business requirements into solution designs, proposals, and winning technical strategies.

You will lead solution shaping, product positioning, and bid support for enterprise customers across Singapore and regional markets.

This is a high-ownership role combining solution consulting, technical sales engineering, and deal strategy.

Key Accountabilities

Presales Solution Ownership
Lead end-to-end presales activities from lead qualification to deal closure support
Understand, gather and analyse customer requirements across technical and business domains
Design scalable, feasible, and commercially viable solutions
Translate customer pain points into solution architectures and value propositions
Sales Support & Deal Strategy
Partner closely with Sales & Business Development to qualify opportunities
Drive solution positioning in competitive bids and tenders (RFP/RFI/RFQ)
Develop win strategies, pricing inputs, and proposal narratives
Support contract negotiations with technical justification
Own end-to-end RFP/RFI/RFQ response lifecycle including technical solution design, compliance, and submission quality
Client Engagement
Conduct discovery workshops, solution presentations, and technical discussions
Deliver product demonstrations and Proof of Concept (PoC) sessions
Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders (technical + business)
Proposal & Documentation
Prepare high-quality proposals, solution decks, and technical write-ups
Own RFP/RFI responses including compliance matrices and solution mapping
Develop ROI-based business cases and value justification models
Technical Coordination
Work with engineering/product/delivery teams to ensure solution feasibility
Bridge gaps between customer expectations and internal capabilities
Ensure smooth handover from presales to implementation teams
Provide input to product development by sharing market feedback, customer requirements, and competitive insights for future enhancements
Support technical evaluation of product fit for customer requirements in collaboration with internal teams
Market & Product Input
Provide feedback to product and leadership teams on market needs
Identify gaps in current offerings and suggest enhancements
Track competitor solutions and positioning in Singapore market

Essential

Skills & Experiences

5–10 years in Presales / Solution Consulting / Technical Sales Engineering
Strong understanding of solution architecture and system integration concepts
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Self-driven and able to work independently, while also being a strong team player in a dynamic environment.
Displays persistence and dedication to understanding and solving critical customer problems.
Ability to work independently as sole presales owner

Preferred

Experience in startups or small teams (hands-on presales ownership)
Experience in surveillance and storage systems, with understanding of both customer-facing (front-end) solution design and backend system architecture.
