What You'll Be Working On:

Platform Operations & Infrastructure Support

.⁠ ⁠Support and maintain enterprise infrastructure platforms supporting mission-critical systems

.⁠ ⁠Monitor platform health, availability, and performance to ensure operational stability

.⁠ ⁠Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and support issue resolution across compute, storage, and network environments

.⁠ ⁠Perform routine maintenance, patching, upgrades, and system optimisation activities

.⁠ ⁠Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth platform operations

Infrastructure Modernisation

.⁠ ⁠Support infrastructure refresh, migration, and platform modernisation initiatives

.⁠ ⁠Contribute to workload migration efforts across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments

.⁠ ⁠Assist in improving platform resilience, scalability, and operational efficiency

Automation & Operational Excellence

.⁠ ⁠Support automation initiatives to streamline operational processes

.⁠ ⁠Contribute to scripting and infrastructure automation tasks

.⁠ ⁠Assist with monitoring, observability, and performance optimisation improvements

.⁠ ⁠Maintain clear operational documentation, runbooks, and technical procedures

Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure

.⁠ ⁠Support the agency's transition toward hybrid cloud platforms

.⁠ ⁠Assist with infrastructure integration across on-premises and cloud environments

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for junior engineers with a strong technical foundation, curiosity, and a desire to grow in modern infrastructure engineering and the following competencies:

Core Technical Skills:

.⁠ ⁠Foundational knowledge of virtualisation platforms such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Nutanix

.⁠ ⁠Basic understanding of enterprise storage concepts (SAN / NAS / backup systems)

.⁠ ⁠Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows Server administration

.⁠ ⁠Understanding of core networking concepts TCP/IP, DNS / DHCP, routing & switching, firewalls, load balancing and network segmentation

.⁠ ⁠Exposure to monitoring and observability tools

.⁠ ⁠Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery concepts

.⁠ ⁠Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure

Nice to Have:
