We are seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer to develop and enhance scalable backend systems that support mission-critical applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing solutions while driving engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using Node.js and TypeScript.
Build and maintain APIs, batch processing jobs, scheduled tasks, and backend integrations.
Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements to enhance performance, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
Support the adoption of engineering best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud-native development.
Participate in proof-of-concept initiatives and contribute to the implementation of new technologies and solutions.
Prepare technical documentation and communicate solution designs effectively to technical and business stakeholders.
Collaborate with team members to promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
At least 7 years of relevant software engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
Experience building batch processing jobs, scheduled tasks, or automation scripts.
Experience working with streaming data technologies is an advantage.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience working in highly secured or regulated environments such as government or banking systems will be an advantage.
