We are seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer to develop and enhance scalable backend systems that support mission-critical applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing solutions while driving engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Build and maintain APIs, batch processing jobs, scheduled tasks, and backend integrations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements to enhance performance, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
- Support the adoption of engineering best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud-native development.
- Participate in proof-of-concept initiatives and contribute to the implementation of new technologies and solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation and communicate solution designs effectively to technical and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Experience building batch processing jobs, scheduled tasks, or automation scripts.
- Experience working with streaming data technologies is an advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience working in highly secured or regulated environments such as government or banking systems will be an advantage.
