We are lookingfor a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Special Education Teacher (Secondary) where you'll inspire and empowerstudents to reach their full potential.

What You'll Do:

Conduct classroom teaching in an inclusive settingfor students in Grade 7 to Grade 12.
Conduct small group/ individual teaching sessionsfor students with learning difficulties.
Design and implementschool-level curriculum content that aligns with the general education programwhile adapting it to suit students with varying abilities and learningchallenges.
Develop and implementindividualized Learning Plan (ILPs) tailored to each student's specific needs,in collaboration with other educators and specialists.
Adapt and modify curriculummaterials and teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles andabilities.
Deliver high-qualityinstruction that meets the educational and developmental needs of students withdisabilities.
Regularlymonitor and evaluate students progress, adjusting instructional strategies asneeded.
Maintain accurate andup-to-date records of students performance, including IEP documentation.
Work closely with support staff, and otherspecialists to ensure a coordinated approach to education.
Communicate effectivelywith parents and guardians regarding students progress, challenges, andachievements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in specialeducation or a related field from an accredited university.
A minimum of 3 years of teachingexperience in a special education setting, preferably in a school environment.
Experience in Cambridge Curriculum / International Middle Years (IMYC) and the EQUALS Functional Curriculum.
Familiarity with developing andimplementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), including linkingassessments to IEP development.
Strong interpersonal andcommunication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively withstudents, staff, and parents.
Proficiency in behavior managementtechniques and the use of appropriate intervention strategies.
