Youth Worker|Yishun

Responsibilities:

• First point of contact for student behavioural incidentsand wellbeing concerns during school hours
• Conduct initial fact-finding, incident assessments,and student reporting processes
• Implement de-escalation and restorative practicestrategies to support positive behaviour outcomes
• Facilitate restorative conversations and conflictmediation between students
• Build positive relationships with studentsexperiencing behavioural or engagement challenges
• Provide proactive outreach and early interventionsupport for at-risk students
• Work collaboratively with the Student ManagementCommittee, teachers, counsellors, and school leadership
• Maintain accurate and confidential records ofinterventions, incidents, and student interactions
• Support the school's student management andrestorative practice framework
• Promote student accountability, wellbeing, andpositive school culture
• Monitor and follow up on students with repeatedbehavioural concerns
• Provide practical guidance and support whilereferring complex cases to appropriate staff when required

Requirements:

• Preferably holds qualifications or certifications in Counselling,Educational Psychology, Social Work, or related social-emotional learningfields
• Minimum 2 years of experience in youth work or student engagement roles
• Prior experience working with secondary school students and classroommanagement preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills
• Ability to build trust, rapport, and positive relationships with youths
• Passion for supporting and mentoring young people from diversebackgrounds
• Competent in managing student behaviour and responding to wellbeingconcerns
• Able to work collaboratively within a school-based multidisciplinaryteam
• Demonstrates professionalism, empathy, and sound judgement in studentinteractions
• Familiarity withrestorative practices and student support approaches is an advantage
