Job Description

Contract Period: From 4 May2026 to 31 Dec 2026.

Workinghours:

. Weekdays from Mondays to Fridays:08.30am to 4.30pm during school term including a lunch break of 30 minutes.

. During the school holidays, the servicesof the Youth Worker are required on the following dates to conduct schoolholiday ASPIRE Programme or to support students who require additionalsupervision:

Schoolholidays/closure schedule (with no lunch break included):

✓ 22Jun 2026 to 26 Jun 2026 (Mon to Fri), 8.30am to 12.30pm

✓ 28Dec to 31 Dec (Mon to Thurs 8.30am to 12.30pm)

. Service may be required on weekends and gazetted public holidays if there are any external performances or learning journeys.

Scope of Services:

Student Outreach, Mentoring and Engagement:
The Youth Worker will work with the SDT to conduct proactive student engagement during non-curriculum periods including recess, lunch breaks, and after-school. This involves building positive relationships with primary school students and creating an inclusive environment that promotes school connectedness. The Youth Worker will observe student interactions and behaviours and support students with socio-emotional needs as identified by the school. Any concerns regarding student welfare or behaviour shall be escalated to HOD/Student Management (SM), YHs or SH/SM or any of the designated school personnel in accordance with the school's protocols.

The Youth Worker will be responsible for the maintenance and management of the school's A.S.P.I.R.E Room during recess, after school hours, and at stipulated times during school holidays. The responsibilities include:

. Opening and closing the A.S.P.I.R.E Room
. Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the room, including proper maintenance of all assets
. Supervising students who are using the room
. Collaborating with A.S.P.I.R.E teachers to provide leadership opportunities for students through their involvement in managing the room
. Carrying out any other duties assigned by the school related to the management of the A.S.P.I.R.E Room

Programme Planning and Activity Facilitation for A.S.P.I.R.E:
The Youth Worker shall support the A.S.P.I.R.E programme and work with the respective SDT members and A.S.P.I.R.E team of teachers to plan, enact, monitor and evaluate the efficacy of the programme to better support the school's identified students.

This includes supporting the school in coordinating with external partner to curate or design and implement age-appropriate after-school activities aligned with Singapore's Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) framework. In the absence of external partners, the Youth Worker may be tasked to independently design and implement activities that achieve the same intended outcomes.

Activities will encompass character development, social-emotional learning, recreational sports, creative arts, and leadership development programmes. The Youth Worker must ensure all activities comply with MOE safety guidelines and school policies, maintain attendance records,
and adapt programmes to meet the diverse learning needs and backgrounds of students. The youth worker should also conduct regular programme evaluation and feedback collection to assess the effectiveness of the programmes.

Resource and Inventory Management:
The Youth Worker shall maintain and manage the inventory of the programme resources including sports equipment, educational materials, craft supplies, and any other items or equipment. This includes conducting regular stock checks, ensuring proper storage and maintenance of the equipment and preparing activity materials in advance. The Youth Worker shall maintain accurate records of resource usage and coordinate with the school's administration team for the procurement of items.

Deliverables:
. To assist the SDT team in preparing an individualised A.S.P.I.R.E report for each student semestrally.
. Monthly activity reports documenting student attendance and engagement levels
. Termly programme evaluation reports with analysis of student feedback
. Termly reports on the students on any socio-emotional needs, family or behavioural issues.
. Semi-annual inventory reports
. Incident reports based on the school protocols.

Qualifications, skills and experience:
. Diploma in Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field or a relevant qualification
. Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with children in educational or community settings
. Experience in conducting MOE programmes or school-based interventions
. Familiarity with local community resources and referral pathways
