Are you passionate about empowering youths Join us as Youth Engagement and Development Interns supporting Care Corner Singapore's Youth Corps Development Team (YCDT). YCDT grows youth volunteerism by building volunteer management capabilities, creating youth-friendly opportunities, and providing training. Gain hands-on experience in volunteer recruitment, programme planning, execution, and youth development.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Volunteer Recruitment & Development
- Assist in recruiting volunteers for our signature programmes
- Ensuring smooth onboarding process of volunteers
Programme Planning & Execution
- Collaborate with the team to plan, organize, and execute programmes
- Preparation of necessary logistics
- Involve in evaluation of programmes by gathering feedback from volunteers
Volunteer Management System (VMS)
- Hands-on experience with the organisation's VMS
- Support in tracking volunteer activities, recording hours and managing communications
Youth Volunteer Guidance
- Provide ongoing support to youth volunteers pre/post programme
- Facilitate learning sessions and help volunteers reflect on their experiences
Administrative Support
- Includes but not limited to maintaining volunteer databases, data entry, and other tasks assigned by supervisor
Learning Objectives & Outcomes:

Community Partnership Intern
We seek someone with strong communication skills who enjoys working with diverse stakeholders to benefit the community. The intern will support engagement efforts in
Woodlands, Toa Payoh and Tampines, helping link partners and resources to uplift vulnerable children, youths, seniors and families. Tasks include volunteer outreach, co-creating programmes, coordinating stakeholders, running and evaluating activities, analysing data, and supporting admin work, aligned with Care Corner's mission.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Volunteer Recruitment and Deployment. Signature Volunteer Programmes Planning and Execution Training & Curriculum Development
- Assist with the preparation of training materials
- Providing onsite support during training
Events Management
- Provide support and assistance in preparation, execution and operations of events
Administrative duties
- Includes, but not limited to collation of reports, maintaining volunteer database, upkeep of website and data entry, and any other work assigned by the supervisor

Social Work Programme Intern
The Social Work Programme Intern supports the planning, delivery, and evaluation of youth mental health outreach and group-based programmes. The intern will assist with engagement, facilitation, logistics coordination, and post-programme administrative tasks.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Programme & Outreach Support
- Support staff in the planning, preparation and execution of outreach and engagement activities conducted
- Assist in small-group or station-based facilitation, co-leading simple mental health learning activities or reflective discussions.
- Support actual-day set up, logistics, venue readiness, and flow management.
Programme Design & Evaluation
- Assist staff in refining programme materials, worksheets, reflection questions, or engagement activity concepts.
- Support the collection and consolidation of participant feedback or evaluation data.
- Contribute to post-programme debrief discussions, offering observations and reflective input from an intern perspective.
Administrative & Coordination Support
- Assist with logistics procurement, inventory tracking, and packing of programme materials.
- Support in tasks (not limited by) printing materials, attendance-taking, and follow-up communications with staff where needed.

- Maintain confidentiality of client, youth, and stakeholder information at all times.
- Use respectful, strengths-based, non-judgmental language when interacting with youths and partners
- Uphold clear professional boundaries, including not forming dual relationships or engaging in inappropriate personal disclosures.
- Actively practice self-awareness and reflection, seeking supervision when unsure or emotionally impacted.
- Demonstrate reliability and accountability (punctuality, meeting commitments, communicating if unable to attend, etc.).
- Work collaboratively and respectfully with team members, volunteers, youths, and stakeholders.
- Follow safeguarding protocols when encountering disclosures of risk, distress, or harm—immediately escalating to staff.
- Seek feedback and learning opportunities, showing willingness to grow in facilitation and youth engagement skills.
- Represent the organisation professionally in both on-site and online interactions, communications, and public presence.
Learning Objectives & Outcomes:
- Demonstrate skills in planning, preparing, and facilitating youth programmes and outreach activities.
- Apply knowledge in designing programme materials and evaluating participant feedback to improve activities.
- Develop competence in managing logistics, administrative tasks, and programme coordination.
- Familiarise yourself with professional and ethical practice, including confidentiality, safeguarding, and respectful engagement with youths and stakeholders.
Requirements For All Positions:
- YCCI is open to Singaporeans/PR aged 17 to 25 years old; Current students from ITE/Polytechnics/Universities, or other educational institutions or currently in transition phase.
- Min. commitment: Available for 5 to 6 months full-time internship (Mon to Fri, 9am to 6pm; with occasional weekend work for special events/projects)
- Interest in the social sector
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and Canva
- Able to see through the planning, organising, implementation and evaluation of a project
- High empathy, self-and-social awareness
- Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
