JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: Yield Engineering Department
Report to: Yield engineering section leader
Functional Relationships with: All departments in Murata (TUAS) Singapore
POSITION PROFILE:
Based in: Singapore
The successful candidate will: Primarily work closely with manufacturing to promote yield loss and to optimize total production system through strong collaboration with other departments.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process Yield loss & Defective rate improvement.
- Lead team for yield loss improvement activities.
- Work with cross-functional teams from various department to improve yield performance.
- Identify yield opportunities and set preliminary yields targets.
- Prepares reports, publishes findings, and makes presentations to communicate results.
- Prepare and submit required yield loss monthly reports. (assigned process).
- Performing deep-dive analysis to identify root causes to meet/exceed the yield targets.
- New Product or New line initial yield follow up and improve before mass production.
- Any other tasks assigned by superior.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environment, Health, Safety & Security requirements.
ABILITY/COMPETENCY REQUIRED:
- Degree in Mechanical/Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- 2 years of working experience in manufacturing sector is preferred/ Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Excellent analytical skills and self-starter with ability to take ownership of tasks and assignments.
- Able to work independently and manage stress, eagerness to learn, a team player.
- Strong communication and good people skills.
- Able to work well as a team player while being independent and pro-active.
- Positive attitude in a challenging work environment.
- Good technical report writing and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office, Excel, Word, Power point. Familiar with JMP, SPC, Data mining, Statistics, are added advantages.
- Comfortable to work in clean room environment+ dry room (0% humidity).
