Job Summary
You will implement and monitor the Company's QEHS Management System across projects, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards while leading safety initiatives and coordinating with contractors and authorities.
Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and ensure compliance with the Company's QEHS Management System for all projects
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and manage the Permit to Work system with proper record-keeping
- Ensure project compliance with all Singapore statutory Health, Safety, and Environment requirements at all times
- Develop and review work plans, risk assessments, safe work procedures, and method statements for all activities, briefing workers before work commencement
- Inspect sites to verify that facilities, machinery, and equipment are in safe working condition and do not pose hazards
- Attend WSH-related meetings and prepare weekly safety reports for management
- Conduct safety inspections and audits, and follow up on corrective actions to maintain safety compliance
- Organize lifting teams, prepare lifting plans, and oversee lifting operations
- Facilitate communication and coordination among contractors and safety personnel to ensure smooth and safe work activities
- Conduct accident and incident investigations, recommend corrective actions, and manage reporting and follow-up with authorities, consultants, and related parties
- Facilitate and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, liaising with appointed auditors on the QEHS Management System
- Plan, organize, and conduct in-house safety training and activities to promote EHS awareness and maintain healthy and safe working conditions
- Ensure all workers are issued required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and regularly inspect PPE for fitness and expiry
- Prepare and monitor a legal register to ensure compliance with legal requirements, Singapore Standards, and Codes of Practice related to EHS
- Perform related ad-hoc duties or assignments as instructed by Management
Required competencies and certifications
- Valid MOM registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) certification with more than 2 years of registration (Must be valid MOM registered WSHO more than2 yrs)
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in SPPG Cable Works or construction environment (At least 3 years of relevant working experience in SPPG Cable Works, Construction environment)
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree or equivalent in a related field (Candidate must possess Diploma /Degree or equivalent in related field)
- Knowledge of construction processes and activities (Knowledge of construction process &activities)
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate competence, and manage multiple tasks (Able to work independently, competent and able to multi-task)
