Job Description
a) Report to the Project Manager. Responsible for the EHS systems and implementations.
b) The detailed duties and responsibilities includes but not limited to the following:
- Oversee the project's EHS performance, administer and execute the organization's WSH management system.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders, including EHS Manager on reporting of EHS matters, audits, programmes, initiatives etc.
- Proactively demonstrate and promote EHS initiatives and culture throughout the organization.
- Prepare & execute monthly EHS Programmes.
- Ensure timely submission of EHS reports and inspections.
- Able to lead fellow EHS colleagues and work alongside project team to provide a safe working environment for everyone.
- Support the company's system certification audits, internal/ external audits & programmes and other relevant certifications as needed
- To carry out daily inspections and recommending preventive measures to ensure compliance.
- To lead and investigate all accident / incident, near misses and recommend preventive measures to prevent recurrence.
- Establish emergency preparedness procedures and work with different agencies to participate in the project.
- Prepare and review risk assessments, safe work procedures and all relevant EHS plans.
- Liaise with government agencies, clients for all EHS related matters and reports.
- Ensure proper documentation of all EHS related documents, reports, training records etc.
- Act as a secretary for the project's EHS Committee.
- To prepare and submit all relevant documents for all EHS related awards.
- Develop & implement environment & health management plans.
- Monitor and report on environmental & health performances.
- Manage all waste, pollution control and to conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance.
- Ad-hoc matters as assigned by the PM which is necessary for the execution of the project.
Job Requirements
- Registered WSHO certification from the MOM.
- Registered ECO certification from NEA.
- Registered ECMO certification from IES.
- Knowledge in Environmental Impact Assessment & EMMP (Added advantage)
- At least 3 years of post-registration experience in building construction. (HDB or public sector projects have added advantage)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to work with all levels of people.
- Well versed in the WSH Act & its subsidiary legislations.
- Internal Auditor certification.
- Proficient in MS office & EHS related platforms.
- Other WSH related certifications.
