WSH Officer (Client Rep)

Job Responsibilities

• Represent the Client on all Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) matters.
• Monitor contractors compliance with the WSH Act, subsidiary legislation, and project safety requirements.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and report findings.
• Follow up on rectification of unsafe conditions and unsafe work practices.
• Verify that corrective actions have been effectively implemented.
• Review contractors Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Method Statements, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) documents where required.
• Monitor the implementation of approved safety documents on site.
• Maintain records of inspections, observations, and safety reports.
• Monitor incidents, dangerous occurrences, and near misses reported by contractors.
• Review contractors incident investigation reports and corrective action plans.
• Verify that appropriate corrective and preventive actions have been implemented.
• Provide independent observations and recommendations to the Client where necessary.
• Escalate significant safety concerns or recurring issues to the Client's Project Manager.
• Maintain records of reportable incidents and monitor trends for continual improvement.

Job Requirements

• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM
• Minimum 5 years of relevant WSH experience in construction, A&A, maintenance, or infrastructure projects.
• Good communication and report writing skills.
• 6 day work week, 1 weekday off day
